3. Key questions teachers need to ask:
Am I engaging the full human potential of the students in my class?
Are my students capable of more?
An I under challenging my students?
Would they learn more if I demanded more of them?
Have the tasks I use in class become rituals and ends in themselves?
How can I stop covering material and start focusing on the potential of the learners?
4. An evolving manifesto of demand high:
a) It is OK to teach
b) You have permission to be an active interventionist teacher
c) We need to focus on where the learning is
d) Learn the classroom management techniques that make a difference
e) Work at everyone’s pace, not just the fastest few
f) Risk working hands-on with language
